Corsicana Fishing

Corsicana is a fisherman’s paradise.   Few cities in Texas or in any other non-coastal U.S. city have access to as many miles of un-crowded coastline as Corsicana.  Corsicana fishermen are right next to the Lake Halbert Reservoir, a 603 acre lake with a maximum depth of 18 feet.  This lake has abundant stocks of Crappie and Catfish, providing the casual fisherman and the serious sport fisherman plenty of action.  While Bass and Sunfish can also be found, the waters of Lake Halbert are too turbid to allow a decent Largemouth Bass population to flourish.  Just 15 miles away from Corsicana, fisherman can find Richland Chambers Lake and its 330 miles of coastline, known as Texas’ New Coast.  Richland Chambers Lake is the 3rd largest lake in Texas, with over 44 thousand acres of surface area.  This lake is host to extensive species of fish that sport fisherman crave, such as

Richland Chambers Lake has a number of boat docks, day marinas, full service marinas, boat rental docsk, bait shops and enough open access shoreline to satisfy the most avid of fishermen.
